Let me start by saying I was very happy with the outcome of my braids. I thought them to be very neat, and very even, Although I was not too happy with my arrival and finding out, my appointment was not the quoted price I was told over the phone. I felt that whoever I spoke to was very evasive with the pricing I also was told hair was included, I don’t think it’s fair to the customer to quote them one price via phone call then have them wait all the way until their appointment day to tell them the price is going to be three times what you were told and you will have to pay additional fees for the hair. just be sure to get precise pricing before you make the appointment. To be honest, it’s better to go into the store and do it! Anyway, like I said, overall, I am happy with the work. These braids were installed for my wedding in Jamaica, and I was able to get them style beautifully for my special day! I would definitely go back, but I would go into the store for my quote and I will have them put it in writing!

I had a terrible experience at this hair salon. Not only did they fail to communicate effectively, but their staff also seemed uninterested. The cherry on top was their outdated approach – they don't even bother using their website to check the confirmed appointments. I waited for an hour, only to be informed that my designated stylist was unexpectedly unavailable and ended up going home.

I’m so devastated that I have to write this review but I’m so heart broken about the quality of my service. I went to this place because I started my locs by myself a few months ago so I decided to get my hair professionally retwisted because I’m new to this. I went in hoping to at least learn something because I’m in university so I’d maintain it myself between retwists. I came in early and everyone seemed confused about why I was there despite making an appointment. They sat me in a chair and made me wait until the actual start of my appointment (15 minutes) which would have been fine if I didn’t have to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to actually start doing anything because that time was spent looking for the supplies to do my hair. The service starts and I try to explain my situation and they seemed to not listen. I only find out in the end that they spoke very little English. They ripped my hair to get parts and put so much gel on that it literally flaked off when it dried. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m now seeing the damage that was done. A few of my locs have become brittle at the base and I fear they might break off. Maybe this place is great for braids or wigs but do not come here for locs.

I’m somewhat disappointed again, this is my third time spending over $350 for mini box braid. I feel like it’s a lack of communication with the Hair Braider ‘s you tell them you want your hair to be thin and small (Micro) but unfortunately they still make your hair very big and puffy. The size I pick was 350 but it seem to look like it was 200 I didn’t complain because I had like five people over my head. And I was extremely exhausted, plus they were Constantly talking loud over my head, bumping into me, Constantly complaining about other customers as well, Which was very rude and annoying. My personal anxiety level was at 10!! I truly wish there were private cubicles where clients can sit in with one or two stylists, it would be a more of a relaxing experience instead of a group of women hurdling over your head . I do believe there should be beauty salon etiquette as far as. Respecting a clients personal space, and limiting the talking. Overall I truly wish the lady they call Mama could’ve did my micro box braids because last time she did them so perfectly and she’s patient and listens to the clients needs. Unfortunately, when I came in, she was busy and I had to sit with it another Braider who was fast and braided neatly but unfortunately, my hair didn’t look like the 350 micro box braids it was too big and puffy.
